In February of 1999 we finally launched
Hayward’s Luxury Safaris as an
all new millennium concept after six research years
of big group safari camps around southern Africa.

 It was presented for the first time in all its glory at the
Land Rover Discovery Launch in 1999.

 It was built to honour the past 100 years of African exploration
and from the outset built to set an all new standard in international expeditions
& mobile safari camps.

 It has been an “event-full” decade to say the least.
From one night safaris in the middle of the Namib Desert to huge 4x4 launches
where my team and I put well over two thousand guests through our camp
in some of the remotest places in southern Africa!

 I have really been privileged to experience some of Africa’s most
beautiful wilderness arenas and some of the world’s most beautiful people.
I collaborated with what I know to be some of the best event minds
in the world and have pulled off spectacular ‘Grand Safari Events
in the most remote places with them’.
I have worked predominantly with African team members who
have put their hearts and souls into providing our esteemed guests
with the most dedicated and warmest care.
Always and without fail we have put a grand safari event into
a remote region resulting in a total event success.

 All of this has been made possible by a mere handful of
VERY SPECIAL FRIENDS AND ASSOCIATES.
These are they that make the wheels turn and then literally and figuratively spin!
