STORIES OF THE AFRICAN NIGHT SKY - Journeys Beyond…
Hayward’s stage astronomy viewing events. Large telescopes are set up on site and guests view the stars & constellations, planets, the moon and comets. The astronomy team members are qualified presenters who are capable of combining astronomy with African star lore and legends to make astronomy interesting for everyone. The company’s telescope systems meet the requirements of stargazing enthusiasts through to serious sky watchers, researchers and astro-photographers.

GUIDED HORSE TRAILS – Journey Amongst…
4 to 7 x Saddled horses tethered in camp ready to explore over 1000 hectares of prime Transvaal savannah. Leave camp on a two to three hour leisurely pace with expert guides - a great way to view game big game up close! The horses could be in camp for the duration of your stay – A must in this area
 

GUIDED WALKING ADVENTURE – Journey Alone…
Accompanied by highly knowledgeable guides one is taken on a journey of exploration through the magnificence of Boekenhoutskloof and the Bobbejaansberg Reserve. Climb to the lookout point and see the diamond mines of Cullinan far in the distance.

BASS FISHING -
THE ART OF LURE FISHING - on lake within reserve or a choice of two provincial dams set in nature reserves all with 30 kilometres of camp. Including rods and tackle for 5 persons morning and 5 persons afternoon plus camp tuition and assistance with fly fishing in estuary for duration of camp.

■   THE SKILL OF LONG BOW ARCHERY (in camp activity) Enjoy this grand old pastime expertly led by bowmen with extensive knowledge of this sport in Africa. Targets set up as well as “walk through” bush courses. Ideal leisurely activity in camp.

■   EXECUTIVE REVITALISATION CENTRE Aromatherapy and body massages,
Indian head massages will remove all traces of stress you may have. The centre
stays open during the day from 7am until 7pm for those wishing to remain in camp
and luxuriate. Qualified therapists provide guests with an array of anti stress
treatments – all uniquely "under canvass. Massage beds, towels and oil all included.

■   CULTURAL WORKSHOPS SESSIONS
The workshops will be scattered throughout Dinokeng region.
The following workshops can be arranged:

BUSHVELD HERBS FOR HEALTH (LESSONS FROM AN AFRICAN SANGOMA)
Go into the veld to learn about which plants, roots, leaves and fruit are edible and other survival techniques. You will also learn which plants are used for medicinal purposes and the utilization of the same plants in modern medicine.

■   AFRICAN BIRDS OF PREY - in camp. The region with its many waterways is a migrant bird paradise. To the north is Nylsvlei Bird Sanctuary and Rust de Winter dam, to the south the Roodeplaat dam and nature reserve – an ideal area for raptors. Guided bird-safaris in the region will reveal many unusual species.

■   REPTILE PRESENTATION - in camp. A professional handler bring snakes and baby crocs into camp where a 1 hour presentation about these animals. Not for the fainthearted.

■   ELEPHANT INTERACTION - Out of camp activity. Journey with Tembo and Mabitsi into this extraordinary and exhilarating world. An interactive experience seated high upon the true "king of beasts",
and explore the big - sky region of Dinokeng.
A rewarding relationship between man and beast in Africa.

■   MOSAIC CORPORATE WORKSHOPS - in camp. A creative teambuilding
exercise for the ladies, incorporating group projects and individual projects.
Mosaics are an art which is both relaxing and rewarding in its making.

■   GOLF Out of camp activity  - The Pebble Rock Golf Village with its beautiful
18-hole golf course is just 25 kilometres outside the CBD of Pretoria, close to the
Roodeplaat Dam. It is a mere 40 minutes from Johannesburg International Airport
and 15 minutes from the planned Pretoria International Airport, to be developed
at Wonderboom. It also falls within the boundaries of the new Dinokeng Game Reserve
project, a R500-million initiative currently under construction by the Gauteng Provincial Government.
