A two-stop 7-day raid of magnificent diversity!
Arrive in the land of Gauteng gold. Spend the day visiting the heritage of the world’s greatest gold deposit which gave birth to places like Soweto and E’goli, Johannesburg. Enjoy a deep cultural experience as you visit the Apartheid Museum or the Cradle of Humankind – birthplace of man. Visit Africa’s biggest diamond works or shop for your final safari needs in the most sophisticated malls on the continent. Spend your first night in the confines of a leading Hotel situated in Rosebank or Sandton, Johannesburg.
On day two, head east towards South Africa’s Indian Ocean by private charter on – a short 45 minute flight. From the moment you touchdown you head into one of Africa’s oldest national parks, The Hluhluwe / Umfolozi National Park in Kwa Zulu Natal. This park is our first stop and we enjoy an exclusive picnic lunch on the banks of a lazy African river. We encounter the famed Zulu warriors and absorb their culture. After our big 5 exploration we head into the World Heritage Site of the iSimangaliso Wetland Reserve. This 5 eco system, reserve abounds with aquatic lake and sea species – from hippo, to crocodile to sharks and whales. Hayward’s Grand Safari Camp is your home base for the next 5 days. Day two in Africa we explore Big 5.
Day three we explore the great lakes.
Day four we explore the reserve abounding with elephant, giraffe, zebra, buffalo and leopard. We horse ride through herds of zebra, we kayak with hippo. We walk with elephant and track leopard.
Day five we enjoy Cape Vidal’s beach – literally our own stretch of beach for 100 kilometers, we boat with whales. And fish for world record marlin.
On Day 6 we return back to Johannesburg – overnighting en route or at our selected hotel.
Day seven we enjoy a gold and diamond tour in Johannesburg and prepare for our flight back home – our 7 day raid on the Ama Zulu complete.
