The Hayward’s twenty five year history is a vibrant one when it comes to safari camp crew. Pioneering this new concept took a lot of courage and persistence and those that have worked at Hayward’s at any time have “worked their hearts out” to ensure this operation has always been able to hold its head high and maintain its 5 star standards of service.
This has never been a pastime for sissies and the Hayward’s camp crew, (also known as the Pirates of the Kalahari!) certainly deliver the magic formula specified by me to set up jewels of camps in Five Star luxury which represent the last of Africa’s wilderness treasures to their privileged guests!
CELIA DU PREEZ
DIRECTOR AND EXECUTIVE PRODUCTION MANAGER
Celia has been with Hayward’s since 2006 and has played an outstanding role in developing the company’s team members through the Hayward’s Safari Academy. Celia is the vital production link between Peter Hayward’s expertise in camp design and event conceptualisation and the customers safari dreams. She has the wherewithall needed to bring this all together into a fluid safari production. As Peter Hayward’s Communications Officer and deputy, Celia’s knowledge of what it takes to create an award winning safari event is infallible.
JERRY KATOGO
CAMP ESTABLISHMENT MANAGER
Jerry joined the Hayward’s team in 2007 and has developed into an outstanding Establishment Officer. He is proficient in keeping his various teams motivated and producing in top form ensuring the camp is ready to move and be built in record time whilst simultaneously ensuring staff are kept safe and operational.
DORIS
HEAD HOUSE KEEPER
Handling a tented hotel of 40 to 200 beds on safari in the middle of nowhere takes some doing. Doris and her housekeeping team ensure the look and feel of Hayward’s are exemplary and that communal areas in camp as well as bedrooms look fantastic. Doris has been with Hayward’s since 2005.
Delivering Superior Safari Service
Only a handful of Hayward’s Executives can proudly wear the Executive Safari Hat and to all who have played an incredible role in delivering a superior safari service since the concept was born in 1993, I thank you sincerely. Peter John William Hayward
