Expect a truly exhilarating and off the wall big group safari.
From the moment your group is met at Walvis Bay with a fleet of 4×4’s you will know this is not your average safari experience.
The group head through the dunes to explore the rugged moonscape region of the Swakop River on a self-drive safari towards the camp site – a team challenge supreme suddenly coming upon the camp suspended within a natural amphitheatre surrounded by millions of tons of sand and stone! Splendorous dinners done only as Hayward’s can, set the scene for a safari camp like no other.
Days are filled with excursions on quad bikes, horses or camels or 4×4 to participate in adventurous pastimes such as salt water fly fishing, para-sailing, micro lighting, hot air ballooning, boating excursions, desert golf and dune boarding.
Using the luxury of Hayward’s as a base camp in the Namib Desert, special interest groups can charter light aircraft to visit Sossusvlei in the South or Etosha National Park and the Skeleton Coast in the North. Swakopmund with its quaint German heritage is a charming small town that offers a wonderful array of activities such as German Pubs crawl, historic museums, aquariums, African traders and antique shops.
